A native of Kansas City, Missouri, E. Anthony Muhammad earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Southern University and A&M College and his Master of Science degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Baltimore. He earned his doctorate in Qualitative Research Methodologies from the University of Georgia.
E. Anthony has served as a Research Fellow at the Army Research Institute as well as working as a researcher for the Department of Defense and the Defense Manpower Data Center. In these positions he gained proficiency in every aspect of the quantitative research process from the literature review, to data collection and analysis, to publication. In an effort to balance to his research experience, E. Anthony gained expertise in qualitative research methods as well. With Critical Social Theory/Critical Race Theory as his theoretical orientation, and by enlisting methods as diverse as hermeneutics, document analysis, interviews, and critical discourse analysis, E. Anthony aspires to be an activist-scholar on behalf of the Black community specifically, and all marginalized communities generally.
Over the years E. Anthony has also used his skills to prepare high profile clients for interviews, panel discussions, and other media appearances with his comprehensive and personalized topic briefings and background research. Additionally, he has ghostwritten several articles appearing in online publications and he's acquired over a decade of experience teaching psychology in both the classroom and the online environments of colleges and universities.
In his spare time E. Anthony enjoys traveling, practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, engaging in community based projects in the Atlanta area, and being an active member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated.
